Many people will remember the cereal Fruity Pebbles. This popular breakfast cereal is still available in many grocery stores, but it’s not quite as delicious as it used to be. There are 3 ways to make edible fruity pebbles that you might find more appealing than the original recipe! All of these recipes require only a few ingredients and take less than an hour total to prepare – so don’t wait any longer!
Have you ever wanted to make your own cereal? Many commercial cereals that are sold in grocery stores contain harmful ingredients like sugar and GMOs, so it’s best to avoid them. Making your own is not only healthier – but also much more fun! You can mix up the flavors however you want by adding fruits, nuts, or other tasty treats. The most difficult part about making cereal is getting started with good quality whole grains.
There are lots of options available online, from basic brown rice flakes all the way to steel-cut oats! Just be sure they aren’t pre-flavored (or else they won’t taste as delicious when mixed together). Once you’ve gotten ahold of some high-quality organic grain, the rest is easy.
Fruity Pebbles –
You can make fruity edible pebbles with any fruit, but we like strawberries and bananas best. All you need is a blender, some parchment paper or waxed paper (to roll the cereal in), a rolling pin, and an oven!
It’s super fun for kids because they love helping out by cutting up the fruit. Just blend it all together until smooth—it takes about 20 minutes total. Then spread it onto lined baking sheets as thinly as possible, then bake at 175 degrees Fahrenheit for two hours. Let them cool completely before removing them.
Frosted Pebbles –
You can also make frosted pebbles, which are like the store-bought ones but even better! Just add one cup of milk or cream to your blender with about a half cup of fruit and blend until smooth. Then just spread it onto lined baking sheets as thinly as possible (just like before), then bake at 175 degrees Fahrenheit for two hours. Then eat up!
Unicorn Pebbles –
If you want to go super over the top, you can try making unicorn pebbles by blending together strawberries, mangoes, blueberries & bananas until smooth; adding a bit of spirulina powder (for color and health benefits).
Conclusion
There are many different ways to make fruity edible pebbles depending on what flavor profile suits your taste buds best!
