Adventure holidays in New Zealand mean adrenaline activities, awesome traditions, stunning scenery and some great people. A lot of young people are, in fact, choosing New Zealand over many popular European and Asian holiday destinations. New Zealand is home to some excellent scenery. South Island’s Mirror Lake, North Island’s Bay of Islands, in addition to all the volcanoes, mountains, national parks, etc. set you up for one exciting ride. The country is so replete with thrill and vigor that if it had another name, it would have been ‘adrenaline’. New Zealand also has a unique culture, which a lot tourists may find adventurous in a unique way. For instance, the island country is known for its beautiful Maori culture. The famous ‘haka’ is a part of this culture. The Maori culture also identifies itself with tattoos and legends, which add to the Kiwi experience.
New Zealand is not just nature, beautiful landscapes and breathtaking sceneries. It also has its fair share of modern cities. Some of the well-known cities are Christchurch, Queenstown, Wellington, and Auckland. Christchurch is quite a quirky place. People who are looking for some adrenaline fun should head to Queenstown. Wellington is of course the capital of New Zealand and is known for its sports scene. And Auckland is known for its Maori legends.

The North Island
The North Island is replete with active volcanoes, Maori culture, history, and some great looking beaches. In fact, Bay of Islands presents you 144 islands for exploration. If you like cities and their hustle and bustle, head to Wellington and Auckland. The North Island also has Hobbiton, which is home to the Lord of the Rings set.
The South Island
The beautiful South Island has its unique offerings too. Milford Sound and its mountain peaks and waterfalls are great to visit any time of the year. If New Zealand had to name an adventure capital, then Queenstown would be it. The town is where the majority of the country’s bungee jumping activities take place, along with skiing and skydiving. And while you’re exploring The South Island, do not forget to visit the wonderful Lake Tekapo.
