The biggest issue with this is that passengers will barely have any legroom. Budget airlines might offer seat sales from time to time. These will usually coincide with important events on the calendar. The prices can be incredibly low and are worth waiting for. You should be able to book flights months in advance although you might be constrained about the exact date and times. The downside of these cheap seats is that they often come with the disclaimer that cancellations and refunds are not possible. Check to make sure.
