Tips For Growing Your Aero Plant

Regardless of what type of Aero plant you want to grow, you will find that it’s really easy to do so. You just need to know some basic tips and the process will almost be foolproof.

Sprouting and Growing

While it will depend on the type of seeds you’ve planted, most will sprout in 3 – 14 days. It’s a lot of fun to see this happen. Once it does, you’ll find that your Aero plant will grow about 5 times faster than any seed you’ve ever planted in a regular garden. For instance, if you plant salad greens they’ll be ready for you to eat in just 28 – 35 days. For the best results in planting your own food to eat, try planting tomatoes and peppers first. Even if this doesn’t interest you, it’s still important for you to take into consideration the amount of growing space your Aerogarden has. This is important because if you have enough room you’ll be able to grow strawberries. Of course, you can also plant flowers such as lavender, petunia, and snapdragons. Just make sure you don’t plant different size plants next to each other.

Watering

Your plant will come with a light. When this light blinks it’ll be time for you to either water or feed your plant. Once you’ve done so you simply press the button and when it starts blinking again is the next time it’ll require some attention from you.

Most of the time you can simply use some tap water for your plants. However, if you don’t think that the quality of your water is very good, you may want to use store-bought water instead. If you’re uncertain whether you need to do this, you should be on the lookout for things like poor growth and the leaves turning yellow or brown. If this happens, you’ll want to buy water from the store.

If you live in the southern or southwestern parts of the United States you probably do have hard water. In this case, you should buy some water from your store or you can use Aerogarden’s liquid nutrients to help condition the water before giving it to your Aero plant.

Regardless of whether you use tap or store-bought water, you should never use rain, well, or spring water. This is because these types of water are known to have varying levels of minerals in them.
