Growing in Christ is a topic many believers want to grow in. There are so many different opinions and thoughts about how to grow in Christ, but there are 3 points that should be considered by all who desire to grow closer to God. These points will help you grow stronger, wiser, and more confident as you learn from the Bible’s teachings. Each point has a scripture reference for further reading!
Grow close to Jesus:
To grow closer to Jesus, start by helping others grow in Christ. Helping someone grow stronger in their faith is an amazing feeling that gives you encouragement as well! (Matthew 28:16-20)
Grow through the Bible: To grow through the Bible, read it daily and learn its lessons. The more time spent reading the Bible, the more lessons you will learn. (Psalm 119:105)
Grow in your faith community: grow through a church is to grow with other people who are also striving for Christ’s love and teachings. Having others around can make it easier to grow together! (Romans 12:15). Grows faster together!
Grow in faith:
Matthew 17-20, Hebrews 11.32-40, Proverbs 28.25 grow closer to God by focusing on Him and not the world’s distractions around you grow your faith daily through Bible reading, prayer, worshiping with other believers grow stronger when others encourage and grow with you grow in faith and grow closer to God by spending time alone.
Seek wisdom from the word of God: grow through the word of God, grow wiser by seeking out wisdom from The Bible. Proverbs 22:17-19 grow stronger in your faith when you seek to grow closer to God and learn about His teachings grow a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ as you spend time reading scripture, listen to sermons, or attending Church services.
